Owner Helen Robinson has over thirty years of design experience including book design, poster and brochure design, museum exhibit design, and jewelry design. For the past ten years she was the art director of Front Street Books. She created a high profile and recognizable visual identity for Front Street’Äîwhich contributed to establishing a national and international reputation for this small independent book publishing company with a list of award-winning books. Helen Robinson is the head of helen Robinson Design. She is also the Art Directo for namelos. As the art director of Front Street/Boyds Mills Press, Helen Robinson designed and produced award-winning children’Äôs picture books, young adult novels, poetry, and nonfiction titles. She also worked in advertising and museum exhibit design, creating museum exhibit graphics for the Maritime Center in South Norwalk, Connecticut, and the California Aerospace Museum in Los Angeles. Between jobs she spent extended periods of time painting and making jewelry in Mexico. She has received design awards from the Creative Quarterly, the New York Book Show, the Connecticut Center for the Book, the Asheville Art Directors Club, and the Boston Art Directors Club.
